My dear Wife
I spent the evening at Williams’ yesterday where I met Arthur, Mr. & Miss Helmcken- all well Meggie looks delicate Arthur grown like a young elephant- met Mrs. Gamsby here- Had too much time for packing up and of course expect several things left behind- amongst their I do no fear are my dress boots as I saw nothing of them- old as they are they would do for B.C. and some $10- There is a Mr. McLeod (a foreman) coming out- you might pack these boots well in strong brown paper and send them out by him- See Amelia about it- Tish is looking very well- love to all.
