My dear Nannie

A few days ago I received a package of photographs – two of them of Arthur. The one in profile I think the best. The other makes him a very long face but the eyes are good – The other photograph is a girls skirt two feet a milk pail and three legged stool – all above is a blank except the top of a bonnet, so I don’t know who or what it is intended to represent. – The weather is raw with frequent rain so I have only been out three days this month will make my last trip next week or the week following – have much office work to do and a letter from Schreiber a few days ago says I need not hurry home. I shall try however to get home a few days before Christmas. Tom was here two days ago – is looking well and has now got into the station House – at Harrison River. I shall write again once or twice before I leave – Love to all the babies –

                              Yours ever
