My dear Nannie

I have been out again with Tom for nine days and have had glorious weather – at times rather warm – but I think I have now got him a head of his work

On my return here I received your letter of the 6th inst. – and am glad to learn that Arthur is getting on so well and hope he will come out well at the examination – you say you are going to send Eloise and baby away soon but what are you going to do with yourself and others – all want a change could not you get to the sea side somewhere in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick – by the Intercolonial – some quiet place it would do you all good – and be well worth the expense – I am going off tomorrow again in fact every week I shall have a hard summer of it as they are rushing the work but not going to make any money everything is wretchedly managed

Love to all

                        Yours ever

                          M. Smith
