                For your kindness in my cause and the endless trouble & correspondence you have had. I return you my most grateful thanks. 

                Any letters or other papers of mine you may have in your possession you will oblige me by forwarding to my address here.

                After the reception I met with and the expressions you used towards me at your house on the morning of the 13^th Inst. our acquaintance must cease and for the future meet as strangers.
