Prince Charles and Princess Diana began their Canadian visit in Halifax June 14 1983. They went to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, P.E.I., Alberta, Ottawa. They also visited, in the Royal Yacht Britannia, Newfoundland for the 400th anniversary of the founding of Britain’s first colony in 1583. They departed for home July 1, Diana’s 22nd birthday.
