Hockey Play-by-Play: Canuck Captains with Jim Robson is a 32 page booklet that features memorabilia and recollections from Hockey Hall of Fame broadcaster, Jim Robson and the current ‘voice of the Canucks’, John Shorthouse. The book was written by All Nations customer Jason Ferris and All Nations supplied the sports card for the illustrations.

In commemoration of the Canucks’ 40-year anniversary, this publication chronicles and celebrates the captains that have led the Canucks, from Orland Kurtenbach to Roberto Luongo. The booklet is a supplement to the 2005 best-seller Hockey Play-by-Play: Around the NHL with Jim Robson and lets hockey fans re-live another ten great games armed with Jim and John’s hand-written game notes and hockey memorabilia.

Vancouver Canucks CaptainsThe book includes candid commentary and insight from legendary Canuck captains like Trevor Linden, Stan Smyl, and Don Lever about their memorable nights wearing the ‘C’ and what it takes to be a captain in the NHL. A must read for hockey enthusiasts and players looking to develop an edge to their game.

Today is the 40th Anniversary to the day for the Canucks, and just like 40 years ago, they will be facing the Los Angeles Kings. In that first game, they lost 3-1, but this is now the strongest team in its history and the outcome should be the reverse.

It is also expected that Henrik Sedin, last season's winner of both the Hart and Art Ross trophies, will be named as the 13th Captain of the team.

That first game was played in the Pacific Colosseum, this game will be in the newly renamed Rogers Arena.

The book is available at all the usual outlets, plus London Drugs for $14.99, with $4.00 going to Canuck Place Children's Hospice. You can also order online at their web site, with links to their Twitter and Facebook pages. We are all Canucks.
